Breakdown
STEAMWHEELERS
Quad City took a step back in its playoff run last week with it's loss to the Sioux Falls Storm, but are still in fourth place in the IFL standings; just a half game back of the third-place Iowa Barnstormers. The Steamwheelers have a chance to make some headway as they face the Blizzard for the third time this season. They are scoring 42.0 points per game (fifth) and are allowing 39.2 (eighth). Since returning to the team this season. E.J. Hilliard has completed over 62 percent of his passes for 924 yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. He has rushed for an average of 52.9 yards per game with 15 touchdowns. Kerrion Moore has 195 rushing yards to go with six trips to the end zone. Moore is also the third-leading receiver with 321 yards and four touchdowns. Keyvan Rudd has 423 receiving yards, while Mike Carrigan has 398. They add six and eight yards, respectively. Nathan Sheets and Darreon Jackson come in with 78 and 75 tackles, respectively. Naquez Pringle leads the team with four sacks, and Jaylin Swan adds three of his own. Kimo Naehu has been solid in the kicking game this season.
BLIZZARD
Green Bay is still two games out of the fourth playoff spot, currently held by these Steamwheelers. That adds an elevated element of importance to this matchup for the Blizzard in this one. They still have a chance to salvage their playoff hopes, but they'll have to turn a sharp corner and very quickly. The Blizzard score 31.5 points per game (13th) and allow 32.5 (third). Jack Sheehan comes in completing 56 percent of his throws for nearly 145 yards per game. He is tied for fourth in the league with 29 touchdowns. He also rushes for 23 yards per game to go along with six touchdowns. Tim Whitfield is the featured back after just two games, having scored a touchdown last week. Keshaun Taylor has 36 catches for 400 yards and ranks second in the IFL with 14 touchdown grabs. Steven Newbold and Shaquon Curenton each have 26 catches for over 400 yards apiece, and combine for 13 touchdowns. James Brown leads the defense with 84 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a pair of touchdowns. Momodou Mbye has 74 tackles and Mason Gray has 62. Nick Jaworski has become reliable as the Blizzard kicker.
