Breakdown
PANTHERS
Bay Area has already been mathematically eliminated from the postseason. Now, the Panthers get to play spoiler as they attempt to finish out their inaugural season on a high note. Another opportunity exists for the Panthers as well. These last four games can serve as a sort of audition for the players as it could determine next season's roster. They are last in the IFL in points per game (28.3) and in points against (53.7). Vincent Espinoza has gotten the last two starts at quarterback and is completing 42 percent of his passes for 166 yards with a touchdown and four picks. Isaac Hurd is the backup. Duane Gary is a solid running back with 31.8 yards per game and a team-high 10 touchdowns. Daniel Crowell, Jr. leads the receiving group with 27 catches for 325 yards and six touchdowns. Deondre Douglas enters the game with 212 yards and a score. Derik Calhoun leads the defense with 60.5 tackles and an interception. Karmah Yates has three interceptions and five tackles for loss. Brandon Dabney has 19 tackles and an interception. Stevie Artigue has been reliable as the Panthers kicker all season.
STRIKE FORCE
San Diego is on the verge of being eliminated from the playoffs. That's just what will happen if the Strike Force drop this game, or if the Duke City Gladiators and Tucson Sugar Skulls both win. San Diego, should they return next season, could use this game to evaluate this year's talent when it comes to next year's roster. The Strike Force are scoring 34.7 points per game (10th) and are allowing 51.5 (13th). Jorge Reyna has been a bight spot at the quarterback position. He's completing 58 percent of his throws for 641 yards with 12 touchdowns and two interceptions. He has rushed for a pair of touchdowns. Steve Cluley, who led the team to it's two wins, is on the active roster. Davontae Sapp-Lynch was the lead back, but was released this week. Rashad Ross is the team leader in receiving with 473 yards and eight touchdowns. Marques Rodgers comes in with 374 yards and five scores. David Haney paces the defense with 46.5 tackles and three interceptions. Ihmael Adams adds 33.5 tackles and a pick, while Deshon Cooper has two sacks. Tanner Kuljian has been strong as the Strike Force kicker.
