Breakdown
SUGAR SKULLS
Tucson has already earned a playoff spot, but will be on the road in the first round of the playoffs. The Sugar Skulls will play either the Northern Arizona Wranglers or the Arizona Rattlers, but much is to be determined over the past three weeks of the season. All three teams from the state of Arizona have earned spots in the postseason. They are scoring 49.2 points per game (second) and allowing 48.0 (11th). Daquan Neal second in the league with 144.5 passing yards per game and tied for the lead in the IFL with 46 touchdowns and just five interceptions. He has rushed for 3-8 yards with 17 touchdowns. Mike Jones leads the league with 33 touchdowns to go with 40.9 yards per game on the ground. Three Tucson receivers have over 500 yards receiving, led by Quinton Pedroza's 605 yards and 10 touchdowns. Carrington Thompson, Sr. and Arthur Jackson each have 12 scoring grabs. Ronald Collins has 33.5 tackles and four sacks, and Maurice Jackson adds 31.5 tackles and four sacks of his own. Mike Minter has 24.5 tackles in just nine games. Justus Logan has been strong in the kicking game for team.
STRIKE FORCE
San Diego has already been eliminated from the playoffs, but still have the opportunity to be a spoiler. The Strike Force play three potential playoff teams in the final weeks, including two which have already clinched playoff spots. They can take this and their other games this season as tryouts for next season, should the team return to the league. They score 37.1 points per game (tenth) and allow 49.5 (12th). Jorge Reyna has been solid with the Strike Force since signing five games ago. He is completing 61 percent of his passes for 825 with 19 touchdowns and a pair of interceptions. He also has three rushing touchdowns in his five games with the team. Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks is the lone running back on the updated roster. Marques Rodgers comes in with 450 yards and seven touchdowns, and has rushed for six touchdowns. Daquan Brown has 56 tackles, while David Haney has 5.5 takedowns and a team-high four interceptions. Ishmael Adams has 38.5 tackles and an interception. Tanner Kuljian, who has been reliable this season, is on season-ending injured reserve. San Diego native Aedan Johnson will replace him.
