Breakdown
RATTLERS
Arizona got back on the winning track last week as it held off the Duke City Gladiators at home. The win was sorely needed by the Rattlers after having dropped two straight and falling into unfamiliar territory at under .500. They score 49.8 points per game and allow 47.8. With Drew Powell still on STIR as of this writing, they Rattlers will once again turn to Jorge Reyna, who has completed 59 percent of his throws for 355 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions. Jager Gardner has rushed for 86 yards and a team-high seven touchdowns. Gardner also has 99 yards off 14 receptions. Isiah Scott leads the receiving group with 21 catches for 258 yards and five touchdowns, and Braxton Haley adds 11 grabs for 129 yards and three scores. The defense is led by Dillon Winfrey with 19.5 tackles and an interception. Jacobi Taylor has 13.5 tackles, and Chris Terrell adds 1.5 sacks. Kicker Craig Peterson has a strong leg and averages 52.7 yards per kickoff.
FIGHTERS
Frisco is flying high after its 4-0 start. Offensively, they are multi-faceted in the run and pass aspects of the game. They should be tested this week by a talented Rattlers defense, but should be up to the task. They average 56.3 points per game and allow 33.5. E.J. Edwards has been outstanding to start the season. He is completing 62 percent of his passes for 536 yards with five touchdowns and no picks, while adding 202 yards and a league-high 14 touchdowns on the ground. Jimmy Smith, with 83 yards and three scores, is the lead back. Jerminic Smith has 20 catches for 202 yards and two touchdowns, and Phazione McClurge adds 98 yards and a score off 11 catches. Kordell Jackson leads the defense with 23.5 tackles and has an interception, while Shaq Bond enters the contest with 19.5 tackles and a pair of picks. Michael Lovett also has two picks, to go along with 13 tackles. Bryce Crawford is reliable and has a kickoff average of 50.6 yards.
