Breakdown
OILERS
Tulsa has had its struggles during the early part of its inaugural season, but the Oilers seem poised to win their second-ever game. The team has shown marked improvement each wee of the season, including falling just short last week against the IFL powerhouse Arizona Rattlers. They score 38.0 points per game and allow 52.0. Vincent Espinoza has settled in at quarterback. He is completing 53 percent of his passes for 269 yards with nine touchdowns and two picks, and also has a score on the ground. Joshua Crockett is the team's top receiver with 16 catches for 195 yards and eight touchdowns. Montero Dubose adds 11 grabs for 110 yards and two scores. Jordan Jones' 33.5 tackles are second in the IFL, and Taylor Hawkings has 17.5 tackles. Each defender also has a single interception. Gibson Ziah and Eric Sadler lead the Oilers in sacks with three apiece. Jeremy Reynolds' 10 made field goals lead the league and he boasts a 48.8-yard kickoff average.
STORM
After just five games, Sioux Falls has to feel good about where they are in the Eastern Conference standings. Yet, it's unlikely that the Storm are satisfied with a share of third place and a 3-2 record. They are looking to get back to their championship form from just a few years ago. They score 48.6 points per game and allow 40.0. Lorenzo Brown, Jr. has been terrific this season with his 62 percent completion rate for 613 yards, 11 touchdowns and four picks. He also has rushed for 195 yards and 12 scores. Bryson Denley can make an impact on the ground. Cole Thurness and Donnie Corley, Jr. have 199 and 189 yards, respectively, and five touchdown catches apiece. The Storm defense is led by James Brown's 29 tackles, 1.5 sacks and interception. LaRonji Vason-McCoy adds 27.5 tackles and Clifton Duck has 26 tackles. Eugene Ford is in a three-way tie for the league lead in interceptions with four. Nick Jaworski comes in averaging 43.5 yards per kickoff.
