Breakdown
KNIGHT HAWKS
Vegas' nine-point loss to the Northern Arizona Wranglers last week knocked them out of the Western Conference's top four; just a half-game back of the Arizona Rattlers in the playoff race. A bounce-back win over the Panthers this week could help situate the Knight Hawks for a mid-to-late season playoff run. They score 42.2 points per game and allow 38.2. After missing three weeks due to injury, Daquan Neal returned to the Knight Hawks lineup last week. He is completing 53 percent of his passes for 554 yards with 13 touchdowns and three interceptions. Davonte Sapp-Lynch leads the rushing attack with 135 yards and five touchdowns. Quentin Randolph paces a talented receiving trio with 350 yards and seven touchdowns, while Caleb Holley has 236 yards and eight scores. Frank Brown adds 168 yards and a score. The defense is led by Jaquez Jackson's 30.5 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and an interception. Gabriel McCoy comes in with 13.5 tackles and a pair of sacks, while Mister Harriel has 13 tackles and two picks. Stevie Artigue averages 44.0 yards per kickoff.
PANTHERS
Bay Area may be the surprise of the Western Conference thus far this season. In just five games, the Panthers have tripled their win total from last year's inaugural season and sit in second place. They score 46.0 points per game and allow 40.6. Veteran Dalton Sneed has been reliable for the majority of the season and the results show it. He is completing 63 percent of his throws for 651 yards with 12 touchdowns and just two picks. Hey also has rushed for a quiet 209 yards and six touchdowns. Justin Rankin's 56.5 rushing yards per game, to go along with 10 touchdowns, makes him one of the top backs in the game. JT Stokes is the leading receiver with 21 grabs for 258 yards and seven touchdowns, Nih-jer Jackson adds 109 yards and three scoring grabs. Marquise Bridges leads the defense with 22.5 tackles and an interception, while Trae Meadows enters the contest with 17.5 tackles. Tevaughn Grant adds 15 tackles and a team-high three sacks. Miguel Mendez made his debut last week, averaging 43.8 yards per kickoff.
