BREAKDOWN
Massachusetts may just limp in to the playoffs at their current rate. The Pirates have dropped their last two games and, should they fall to the Storm, could find them in third place and on the road in the first round of the playoffs. A win would clinch the second seed and home field advantage in the first round. The difference between the two depends on the result of this game and the result of the Quad City Steamwheelers' visit to the Tulsa Oilers this week. The Pirates have been decimated by injuries on defense for most of the season. Isaac Zico is fifth in the league with 805 receiving yards and tied for fourth with 18 receiving touchdowns. The Storm's win over the Iowa Barnstormers last week, coupled with the Green Bay Blizzard's loss at the Quad City Steamwheelers, sealed the deal.
