BREAKDOWN
Massachusetts may just limp in to the playoffs at their current rate. The Pirates have dropped their last two games and, should they fall to the Storm, could find them in third place and on the road in the first round of the playoffs. A win would clinch the second seed and home field advantage in the first round. The difference between the two depends on the result of this game and the result of the Quad City Steamwheelers' visit to the Tulsa Oilers this week. The Pirates have been decimated by injuries on defense for most of the season. Isaac Zico is fifth in the league with 805 receiving yards and tied for fourth with 18 receiving touchdowns. They score 49.8 points per game (fifth in IFL) and allow 46.2 (seventh).

BREAKDOWN
Sioux Falls is back in the playoffs after a one-year absence. The Storm's win over the Iowa Barnstormers last week, coupled with the Green Bay Blizzard's loss at the Quad City Steamwheelers, sealed the deal. Sioux Falls is in fourth place, but can gain the third spot with a win here and a Steamwheelers loss at the Tulsa Oilers. Regardless, they will be on the road to open the playoffs. The Storm have won three of their last four. This game marks the last for Kurtiss Riggs, who is retiring after 20 seasons as head coach of the Storm. LaRonji Vason-McCoy's 78.5 total tackles are good enough for second in the IFL. They score 46.1 points per contest (seventh in IFL) and allow 42.7 (fourth).
Roster information is compiled by SCtoC staff, based on all available and verifiable information. The above rosters are subject to change and is presented here merely as a basic guide for following the game. Statistical leaders list only active players as of the compilation of this preview.
