BREAKDOWN
After reaching the National Championship Game last season, this team is going to look quite a bit different this season. For the first time in over two decades, Kurtiss Riggs will not be leading the team out on to the field as he has retired as head coach to pursue other opportunities. Enter IFL veteran Andre Fields who is looking to revamp the seven-time IFL champions. Riggs' son, Peyton returns as the offensive coordinator. It's unclear at the time of this writing who will line up under center, but last year's backup, Seth Collins was signed over the offseason. The strength of the Storm's offense just might be its running game with Xavier Jackson and Bryson Denley both making their return to Sioux Falls. Receiver Donnie Corely, Jr. returns to the team and fellow wideout Carlos Thompson, Jr. comes over from the San Diego Strike Force. On defense, the Storm brought back linemen Claude Davis and Logan Swanson, while retaining defensive back LaRonji Vason-McCoy.

BREAKDOWN
Much like the Storm, Quad City is undergoing a revamping of its roster. Head coach Cory Ross will see several new faces as just four players from last season return. With stalwart quarterback E.J. Hilliard, Jr. gone, it will be one of two rookies to step in and take the helm for the Steamwheelers; Judd Erickson of the University of San Diego or Mike Irwin of Oregon. Edward Vander comes over at running back after being brought over in a trade with the San Diego Strike Force. Vander is a tough runner who can take a hit. Keyvan Rudd and Jarrod Harrington are likely to the lead receivers, and should get some help from Raheem Harvey. Defensively, there are some key returnees, including lineman Jaylin Swan, who will anchor the rushing attack and will get some help from Melik Owens, who was acquired via a trade with the Tucson Sugar Skulls. Malik Duncan and Darreon Jackson figure to lead the defensive backfield.
