BREAKDOWN
Sioux Falls has never begun an IFL season 0-4. The Storm are looking to avoid that as they make this trip to Green Bay to face the Blizzard. After two decades with Kurtiss Riggs as head coach, there quite possibly could be several dubious “firsts” this season under Andre Coles. That’s not a knock on the rookie head coach, but rather a sign of the winds of change around Storm Nation. They’ve had some stretches of positive play, but have been unable to long stretches which enables them to finish on the winning side of the scoreboard. Billy Hall has assumed the quarterback mantle this season. He is completing 61 percent of his throws for 110 yards per game with five touchdowns and one interception. He also leads the team with 50.7 rushing yards per game to go along with five touchdowns. Xavier Jackson is a talented runner who has just 19 carries through three games. Jackson has two rushing touchdowns and three receiving scores. Veteran receiver Kentrez Bell is the top target with 11 catches for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Carlos Thompson enters this game with four receptions for 65 yards. Amin Black is second in the league with 24 tackles on the season, and also has a sack. Elijah Reed adds 17.5 tackles and LaRonji Vason-McCoy has 12.5. Dean Sarris averages 49.9 yards per kickoff and has three deuces. The Storm score 37.7 points per game (12th) and allow 47.7 (13th).

BREAKDOWN
Green Bay finds itself in solid position in the Eastern Conference. The Blizzard are in a tie with the Tulsa Oilers for third place with identical 2-1 records. They possess the top defense in the league and their offense can be opportunistic at times, though it can also lack consistency. Putting together a solid offensive performance to compliment the defense will be a key for the team not only in this game, but as the season goes along and heads into the playoff race. The tools are there; the Blizzard just needs to execute with them. Max Meylor started the season for the Blizzard, but went down to a reported injury last week. He’s completing 55 percent of his passes and has thrown for four touchdowns against two interceptions, as well as rushed for 76 yards and four scores. If he can’t go, expect to see Skyler Perry under the proverbial center. He completed five of nine passes for 58 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for 64 yards and two scores in last week’s win at the Quad City Steamwheelers. Lowell Patron is the top receiver with nine catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns, thile Henry Ballard III has six receptions for 53 yards and two scores. Jaylin Cagle could be a wild card in both the running and passing games. Mason Laramie averages 46.8 yards per kickoff attempt. The Blizzard average 37.7 points per game (13th) and allow the fewest points of any team at 30.7.
