BREAKDOWN
Arizona is in very unfamiliar territory with a 1-3 record with a quarter of their season finished. That puts them 2.5 games back of the Western Conference leaders, and just 1.5 games back of the fourth place Northern Arizona Wranglers. Despite some injuries and seemingly more parity in the IFL this season, the Rattlers still possess the tools to turn their season around. This will be the Rattlers first trip to Iowa since joining the IFL prior to the 2017 season. Lorenzo Brown, Jr. was signed for three games, but was released, indicating that last year's National Championship Game MVP Dalton Sneed (with the Bay Area Panthers) is ready to come back from an injury suffered in the season opener. If Sneed is not ready to go, expect Garrett Kettle to get the call. Jamal Miles and Carl Odom will pick up the slack in the running game. Glen Gibbons, Jr. is having a tremendous year. He's the league's top receiver with 23 catches for 78.8 yards per game with 10 touchdowns. Isaiah Huston has 12 catches for 148 yards and a touchdown, and Miles has 14 grabs for 126 yards and two scores. Jarmaine Doubs leads the team with 19.5 tackles. Rashie Hodge has 14 tackles, and Davonte Merriweather and Omari Alexander have 13 tackles apiece. The former also has a sack. Dawson Evitts averages 49.8 yards per kickoff. The Rattlers score 45.0 points per game (sixth) and allow 46.8 (12th).

BREAKDOWN
Iowa, much like last season, is struggling mightily. The Barnstormers had a rough time of it last week at the Massachusetts Pirates last week, resulting in a 25-point loss. They face a Rattlers team which is is much better than its 1-3 record would indicate. Their defense ranks in the middle of the pack, but it's their offense which needs some improvements. Darius-James Peterson is back at quarterback, but he can't do it all. He'll need someone to step up and become a reliable receiver or runner – or both. Peterson completes 48 percent of his throws for 108.7 yards per game with three touchdowns and four picks. He also rushes for 40 yards per game and three touchdowns. Backup Kyle King has completed three of four passes for 47 yards with a touchdown and a pick. Robert Washington is rushing for over 30 yards per game with two touchdowns. Quian Williams has been a nice surprise with 10 receptions for 155 yards and three touchdowns. Darren Wilson and Tre Long should figure in the passing game as well. Jefferson Fritz leads the IFL with 29 tackles, but the team is looking for another playmaker or two on defensive side of the ball. Gabriel Rui is averaging 41.1 yards per kickoff. The Barnstormers average 28.0 points per game (15th) and allow 42.7 (ninth).
