Breakdown
KNIGHT HAWKS
Vegas has had some highlights throughout the first quarter of the season, but has also had some setbacks. The Knight Hawks' 2-2 record as an expansion team had had them see results against the younger teams in the IFL, but their 47-point loss to the Arizona Rattlers last week has no choice but to serve as a wakeup call for the expansion Knight Hawks. This is the first of three straight on the road for the Knight Hawks. Jaylon Henderson has become the signal caller for the Knight Hawks. He has completed over 53 percent of his passes for 432 yards with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also is a thread in the ground game with 50 yards and a score. Elad Covaliu is a power runner who had hit the end zone three times on the ground and once through the air. Frank Brown has emerged as a top receiver in the league, with his 222 receiving yards and four touchdowns. K.D. Cannon has 104 yards and four scoring catches of his own. Jericho Flowers leads the team with 17 tackles, while Kalden Hicks and Mister Harriel each have 15. Izaah Burks has two picks and Kyree McLean comes in with two picks. Nolan Kohorst is the team's new kicker.
WRANGLERS
After an embarrassing loss in their season opener, the Wranglers have reeled off a pair of impressive wins; by 29 points over the Bay Area Panthers and by 17 over the San Diego Strike Force. This could be a prime chance to avenge the Wranglers' 22-9 season-opening loss to the Knight Hawks on March 18. This time, they will be back home at Prescott Valley ready to record their third win in franchise history, and their first over Vegas' expansion team. Kaleb Barker comes into this game completing 51 percent of his passes for 255 yards with four touchdowns and two picks. Barker also has 85 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Stanley "Boom" Williams also has three trips to the end zone. Quinton Randolph has been the top receiver with 10 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown. David Dushon and Glen Gibbons are destined to factors in the receiving game as well. Mercardo Anderson leads the team with 23 tackles and an interception. Vada King has recorded 20 tackles along with 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack. Marquis Bridges also has an interception on the season. Brandon Fischer has been a bit of a surprise, but has been effective as the Wranglers kicker.
