BREAKDOWN
San Diego is one of three teams on the outside looking in who are vying for the fourth playoff spot. The Strike Force's hopes took a hit last week in a two-point loss to the Northern Arizona Wranglers, who occupy that spot. It will be a tall task as they play three playoff teams on the road over the next three weeks. Suffice to say, the Strike Force will need to win and get some help from the Wranglers and from elsewhere in the Western Conference. Nate Davis has been spectacular since coming over from the Duke City Gladiators in a trade in April. Kentrez Bell is the league's top receiver with 63 catches for 841 yards and co-leads the league with 19 touchdown receptions. They score 42.3 points per game (10th in IFL) and allow 48.5 10th).

BREAKDOWN
Tucson comes in sitting in third place in the Western Conference. The Sugar Skulls are just a half game back of the Bay Area Panthers and Arizona Wranglers. They also have a challenging, but manageable schedule, over their last five games. Three of those come at home. It would seem they are a near shoo-in to make the playoffs and even have a chance to earn one of the two top seeds which would come with home field advantage in the first round. The Sugar Skulls have won three of their last four games with their only loss coming by two points against the Panthers three weeks ago. Running back Mike Jones has accumulated a combined 529 yards in the rushing and passing games. They score 42.4 points per game (eighth in IFL) and allow 39.8 (second).
