BREAKDOWN
Tulsa enters its second season with a large fan base and a lot of optimism. The Oilers, under head coach Marvin Jones, will look to contend in this year's playoffs. There are three quarterbacks on the roster, but Daniel Smith gets the early prediction to start given his several seasons of IFL play. Jawon Pass or Lafayette Wright could also see the field. Ladarius Galloway is the only running back on the roster, but that could change. The Oilers are loaded at receiver. Joshua Crockett, Alexis Rosario, Montero Dubose and Jonathan Nance each have significant indoor football experience. Crockett and Rosario were leaders in the Oilers offense last season. Linebackers Jordan Jones and Tre Harvey will lead a young defense which will look to make some noise. Jones led the IFL in total tackles last season. Taylor Hawkins is on hand to pace the backfield.

BREAKDOWN
Frisco has been knocked out of the playoffs in all three of its IFL seasons. Enough of that. The Fighters, with a talented veteran roster, are looking for a championship. After a stint with the United Football League's San Antonio Brahmas, last year's IFL MVP T.J. Edwards is back to lead the team. Edwards is a true dual threat in both the running and passing games. Martez "Meatball" Carter is a bullish rusher who is difficult to tackle. Jimmy Smith can serve as a change-of-pace running back. Cole Blackmon and Phazione McClurge are the notable receivers among the returnees and JR Hensley is an anchor on the offensive line. Veteran Charles Williams is the anchor of the defensive line, and Royce See is one of the top linebackers in the IFL. Bryce Crawford returns as the team's kicker.
