BREAKDOWN
San Antonio enters this game with the top scoring offense, but also have the lowest-rated scoring defense. There is still plenty of time to turn that around, but a win over the Knight Hawks will avoid the Gunslingers going to 0-3. That start would put them being the proverbial eight ball for likely the much of the rest of the season. Sam Castronova has been exceptional through the first two games. He is completing 63 percent of his throws for 169 yards per game with nine touchdowns and a single interception. The passing yards are second in the league to the San Diego Strike Force's Nate Davis. He adds 36.5 yards rushing yards per game with five touchdowns on the season. He has spread the ball around this season to multiple receivers. Nyquan Murray leads the team with 79 yards and three touchdowns. Kali Rashad has caught four passes for 62 yards with a touchdown. Linebacker and defensive captain Zach Brown paces the defense with 7.5 tackles, and Gionvonni Sanders adds 6.5. The Gunslingers are still looking for their first sack and interception of the season. TC Stevens averages 48.6 yards per kickoff. The Gunslingers score 55.5 points per game (first) and allow 64.5 (16th).

BREAKDOWN
Vegas went into the week 3 bye at 2-0 a tied for the top spot in the Western Conference. It's unfamiliar, yet wonderful territory for the Knight Hawks who have struggled through the majority of their first two IFL seasons. There seems to be optimism in and around Las Vegas this year when it comes to the Knight Hawks. They'll have their work cut out for them against the Gunslingers potent offense. Ja'Rome Johnson comes in completing 53 percent of his throws for 131 yard per game with five touchdowns against zero interceptions. He also is a force on the ground with 81 yards and four touchdowns on the season. Taurean Taylor has 43 rushing years and two scores. The Knight Hawks have a talented group of receivers. That group is led by Quentin Randolph and his nine catches for 147 yards and a touchdown. Caleb Holley adds six grabs for 59 yards and a team-high three touchdowns. The defense is paced by Makel Calhoun with 12.5 tackles and two sacks. Roderick Chapman has 11.5 tackles, and Bryce Hampton has a pair of interceptions. Kevin Macias averages 49.7 yards per kickoffs. Vegas is averaging 42.0 points per game and (seventh) and allowing 38.0 (ninth).
