BREAKDOWN
Bay Area was one possession away from its first loss of the season last week, but were able to score the game-winning touchdown with 13 seconds left to preserve an undefeated season thus far. The Panthers look like the defending champions and seem poised to make a repeat run. This is an interesting situation where they are on the second part of a back-to-back against the Strike Force and this time, they are on the road. Last week’s thrilling, last-minute victory could be a harbinger of how this contest may come out. There is a bit of a quarterback controversy in the Bay. Daquan Neal started the first three games, but Felix Harper led the team to last week’s win. Neal is completing 67 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and no interceptions. He also rushes for 51 yards per game and three more scores. Harper completes 61 percent of his throws with three touchdowns and two picks. He has rushed for give touchdowns; two of those last week. Which will start is anyone’s guess. Statford Anderson debuted last week to 72 yards off 20 carries and two touchdowns. Pierre Williams is the leading receiver, but did not play last week. JT Stokeshas 16 catches for 163 yards and two touchdowns, while Jazeric Peterson adds eight receptions for 119 yards and four scores. Antwon Kincade is second in the IFL with 31 tackles and Tyrone Cromwell III has 19. Datona Jackson and Tevaughn Grant have three and 2.5 sacks, respectively. Craig Peterson has a kickoff average of 47.2 yards to go with three deuces. The Panthers average 48.0 points per game (sixth) and allow 36.5 (third).

BREAKDOWN
San Diego came oh so close to maintaining their perfect record last week, but fell by three to the Panthers at San Jose. The Strike Force are in position to return the favor this week at the friendly confines of Pechanga Arena. They have put together a strong offense, but with a defense which seems to be catching up to provide a complete attack. This is the second of four meetings between these teams this season. The question is, can these two teams account for the Game of the Week for the second week in a row? Like the Panthers, the Strike Force have utilized both of their quarterbacks in recent weeks. Nate Davis is one of the most pure passers in the league, while Rudy Johnson brings more of a running quality. Davis is completing 64 percent of his throws for 140 yards per game, and is tied for second with 15 touchdowns against two picks. Johnson has two touchdown throws and an interception, but has attempted just 11 passes. He has accumulated 8.3 yards per carry with a trio of touchdowns. Chance Bell comes in with 30.5 rushing yards per game and five touchdowns. Arthur Jackson III is the leading receiver at 52.5 yards per game and eight scores, but he went down to an injury late in last week’s game so his status is unknown. Jordan Kress has 13 catches for 135 yards and three scores. Sherrod Williams’ 26 tackles and Justic’e King adds a pair of interceptions to 18.5 tackles. Former Panther Stevie Artigue averages 53.9 yards per kickoff with three deuces. The Strike Force score 51.5 points per game (third) and allow 46.3 (12th).
