BREAKDOWN
It’s round two for the Knight Hawks versus Sharks this season, but this one is in unfamiliar territory for Vegas. After breaking out to a 3-0 start and a share of the top of the Western Conference standings, the Knight Hawks are ready to make it four in a row to start the season. The Sharks are not looking to make that easy. The Knight Hawks have put together a terrific defense, and their offense seems to be able to step up at any given moment. We may be seeing a changing of the guard in the West, and Vegas is definitely part of it. Ja’Rome Johnson is having a breakout year. He is completing 62 percent of his passes for 140.7 yards per game with nine touchdowns and no interceptions. He also is rushing for 73 yards per game to go with seven touchdowns. Quinten Randolph comes in with 11 catches for 169 yards and a touchdown, while Caleb Holley adds 10 receptions for 122 yards and a score. The defense is led by James Ceasar’s 15.5 tackles. Bryce Hampton has 13.5 tackles and two interceptions, and Roderick Chapman adds 12.5 tackles. Maurice Jackson and Makel Calhoun have recorded 2.5 and two sacks, respectively. Kevin Macias averages 49.3 yards on kickoffs and has two deuces. The Knight Hawks are scoring 50.0 points per game (fourth) and are allowing 40.0 (eighth).

BREAKDOWN
Jacksonville has found itself in a precarious spot after its first three games in the IFL. The Sharks, NAL champions a year ago, have started out 0-3 in their new league and are in need of some execution to their game plan if they are to turn their season around. Conor Blount has been the quarterback, but went down to injury in their last game against the Bay Area Panthers. If he can’t make a go to it, the mantle will fall to Eddie Brill, Jr., who had some marginal success with two touchdown tosses and an interception. Last week the team signed rookie N’Kosi Perry, who played his college ball at the University of Miami and Florida Atlantic. He could either start or see significant time in this one. Logan Wright is the rushing threat with two touchdowns on the season and could see his workload increase with the presence of a young quarterback. Tamorrion Terry is an exceptional receiver who has 46.7 yards per game and a touchdown. Kamrin Solomon leads the team with four touchdown catches off nine receptions for 89 yards. The defense has been solid with Harrison Poole’s 23.5 tackles leading the IFL. Jabari Gorman adds 13.5 Frankie Onate is averaging 47.2 yards per game with a pair of deuces. The Sharks average 26.0 points per game (16th) and allow 37.7 (sixth).
